Pottery On The Wheel

Would you like to learn some pottery?

After taking a trial wheel session, you can purchase a package.

It is for a beginner level students, hobby artists who wish to work with a tutor. The benefit of this session is that it is available many times a week, weekdays and weekends.

You need to book your session in advance. It is perfect for making dinnerware, functional objects, and playful ceramics.

For the trial workshop, you will learn to make 1 piece on the pottery wheel, after the piece has dried, we will put your piece in the kiln to bisque. We will then contact you to come and paint your piece, we have a big range of glazes to use, you will be guided by an instructor on how to glaze your piece. This process will take up to 3 weeks. If you make more than 1 piece during the class and want to keep it, it is AED 84 extra per piece to fire and glaze. If you decide to buy a package after your trial, all 3 pieces you have made during the trial are free for you to keep.

  • What you'll learn

    • Participants will learn the basics of wheel throwing techniques for creating pottery.
    • These sessions will introduce you to entering, pulling, trimming and shaping clay on the wheel.
    • You will also learn how to use different tools, how to prepare your clay, tips on structure and design.
    • Participants will learn how to trim their pottery and create basic and advanced forms.
